AB1139 ASSOCIATION BETWEEN TRIGLYCERIDE‑GLUCOSE INDEX AND CAROTID ATHEROSCLEROSIS IN PATIENTS WITH PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS: A CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, proposed as a surrogate marker for insulin resistance, appeared to be good indicator of clinically overt cardiovascular events and subclinical atherosclerosis in general population. Objectives We aimed investigate the correlation TyG index with atherosclerotic risk among patients psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Methods This cross-sectional study included 165 consecutive PsA receiving carotid ultrasonography integrated calculated ln [fasting triglycerides (mg/dL)×fasting glucose (mg/dL)/2]. Logistic regression models were applied analyze association continuous variables tertiles artery plaque. Results Overall, had substantially higher than those without (8.82±0.50 vs. 8.54±0.55, p=0.002). frequency was increased increases tertiles, showing 14.8%, 34.5%, 44.6% tertile 1, 2 3, respectively (p=0.003). Multivariate logistic analyses showed that each 1-unit increase significantly associated prevalent (unadjusted OR 2.65 [1.39-5.05]; fully-adjusted 2.69 [1.02-7.11]). Compared 1 unadjusted occurrence 4.64 (1.85-11.60) 5.10 (1.54-16.93) 3. Similarly, plaque observed increasing 3.11 [1.54-6.26]; 3.61 [1.15-11.38]) or 3 10.20 [2.83-36.82]; 17.89 [2.88-111.11]). Additionally, provided incremental predictive capacity beyond established factors, shown by an discrimination ability (all P < 0.001). Conclusion positively correlated burden patients, independent traditional factors psoriatic-related factors. These findings suggest may promising Figure 1. level arthritis, stratified (CA), (CAP). Subclinical carotid atherosclerosis in patients with psoriatic arthritis.

OBJECTIVE To examine the prevalence of subclinical atherosclerosis in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) compared with healthy controls, and to identify clinical and biologic markers for atherosclerotic disease in this patient population. METHODS Subclinical atherosclerosis was defined as the average of intima-media thickness (IMT) measures in the common carotid artery, bifurcation, and ...

Cardiovascular risk in psoriatic arthritis - a cross-sectional study.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVES The present study aims to estimate long term cardiovascular risk in psoriatic arthritis (PsA) patients and to identify clinical and/or laboratory features which influence this risk. OUTCOMES The PsA group included 44 males and 59 females (p = 0.167) with an average age of 52 years (23-80). SCORE was significantly correlated with age of onset, BMI, triglycerides, FPG. Am...

Psoriatic Arthritis and Diabetes: A Population-Based Cross-Sectional Study

Background. Diabetes has been associated with psoriasis, but little is known about the association between psoriatic arthritis and diabetes. Methods. Patients diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis by a rheumatologist were compared to age- and sex-matched patients without psoriatic arthritis regarding the prevalence of diabetes in a population-based cross-sectional study using logistic multivariate...
